Steven Richardson: IDEAS IN ORBIT

I’m Steven Richardson, known as Space. I design and build two kinds of things, start to finish and on my own: agents that see and act, and worlds you can step inside.

Open to freelance projects and the right full-time role.

Three projects at full size, then eight more below.

Socionics Galaxy with the EIE type locked: labeled lines run to the other types (Dual, Mirror, Conflict, Kindred) beside a panel of its Model A functions and intertype relations

Socionics Galaxy

3D web worldLiveCode public

A 3D galaxy you can explore, mapping personality types and how they relate.

Socionics sorts people into sixteen personality types and predicts how any two of them get along. I turned the theory into a place: each type is a star, colored by its family, or quadra. Lock a star and its relationship to each of the other fifteen is drawn and named, beside its Model A functions; drag to orbit, or press ⌘K to jump to any type.

Built with R3F, Three.js, TypeScript, Zustand

Socionics Research Lab: a “decode the psyche” landing page beside a sample analysis typing Walter White as LIE, quadra Gamma

Four AI agents analyse one subject from different angles, then a validator challenges them.

Name a subject and four specialist agents each read them through a different school of personality theory. A fifth agent, the validator, then argues with their conclusions. The disagreement stays on screen, so you can see where a reading holds up and where it is a guess.

Built with AI Agents, React, Multi-Agent

Zipchair AI Assistant: a fan picks Dallas Cowboys and the agent answers with 88 matching products, listing the furniture types and showing Cowboys recliners with sale prices

Zipchair AI Assistant

Shopping agentPitch for ZipchairLive demo

A shopping agent that turns a 12,000-product catalog into a conversation.

A pitch I built for Zipchair, which sells licensed sports furniture: more than 12,000 chairs, recliners, stools and sofas carrying team logos. Instead of paging through filters, a fan names their team and the agent narrows the catalog in a back-and-forth conversation.

Built with React, AI Chat, E-Commerce

One person, idea to shipped

I’m a creative technologist in New York; online I go by Space. Every project on this page is a solo build: I design it, write the code, and ship it.

My work runs along two lines that usually belong to different people. One is agents that do real work in real interfaces: reading a screen, driving a phone, arguing with each other, or talking a shopper through a catalog. The other is worlds: 3D and audio-reactive spaces where an abstract idea becomes somewhere you can move around.

Eleven projects so far. Five run live on the web, and two have their code on GitHub.

What I take on

  • Agents that act. Tools that read, decide, and operate real interfaces.

    See SUE, PhoneAgent, Research Lab

  • Interfaces for complex systems. Dashboards and tools that make a messy domain legible.

    See Zipchair Intel, Drift

  • Automation. Pipelines that take repeated work off a person’s or a team’s hands.

    See AEROEDEN, OpenClaw

  • Interactive worlds. 3D, sound, and generative graphics that turn an idea into a place.

    See Socionics Galaxy, inner-system

Usual stack React, TypeScript, Python, Node, FastAPI, Three.js and React Three Fiber, GLSL, OpenAI models, SQLite.

Something on your horizon?

I’m taking on freelance and contract projects, and I’m open to the right full-time role. Tell me what you’re building and where it’s stuck.
